Campus Ministry

Central to all we do at Immaculata-La Salle High School is our faith in Jesus Christ. In the Salesian Spirit, we recognize that our faith is expressed through prayer, worship, service, and moral living. Our retreat programs further develop this ministry of faith.

Students must perform service modeling the Corporal Works of Mercy. An important goal of Immaculata-La Salle High School is to enable all students, through their involvement in community service, to make significant progress in their development as a “person for others.” Motivated by the example of Jesus Christ and by a growing concern for others, the student is encouraged to become a mature Christian who can work with others for the good of others. Students have the opportunity to actively participate in their sacramental life by attending Masses and the Sacrament of Reconciliation on a regular basis. In addition, the Theology department works in conjunction with the Campus Ministry team to guide students in further strengthening their faith in God.

Community Service is a vital part of the mission of Immaculata-La Salle High School, fostering the development of students as "people for others." Inspired by the example of Jesus Christ and rooted in Catholic values, students are called to put their faith into action by serving those most in need.

Our program is guided by the Corporal Works of Mercy and emphasizes meaningful, hands-on service with nonprofit organizations that support the less fortunate and uphold Catholic values. Through service, students grow in compassion, leadership, and social responsibility while making a positive impact in their communities.

To fulfill the mission of the school and meet the Florida Department of Education and Bright Futures community service requirements, all students are expected to participate in service experiences that include instruction, active engagement, and personal reflection.

Community Service Approved Locations
Our retreat and service learning program includes school-wide opportunities for class encounters and days of service for each grade level conducted with the aid of peer ministers and faculty. We also offer overnight weekend retreat experiences: Freshmen - Cornerstone, Sophomores - Ignite, Juniors - Encounter Toward Christ (ETC) and Salesian Leadership Retreat (October & March), and Seniors - Encounter Toward Christ (ETC).
Family Ministry aspires to build a bridge between the ILS student’s experience of our Catholic faith and charism and that of their family. Our outreach intends to provide an opportunity for faith renewal and relaxation in our fast-paced world.

Athletic Ministry offers personal and spiritual support to student-athletes, coaches, and athletic staff during the entire school year. It follows the Salesian charism of Don Bosco in which Christ is at the center of all we do. Our intention is to model spiritual and leadership retreats for all student-athletes.
The Salesian Cooperators at Immaculata-La Salle are comprised of our own educators, current and alumni parents, and alumni who are all united in serving the young and the poor. Please click here to learn more on how you can become a part of our Salesian Cooperator Chapter at ILS.

Immaculata-La Salle provides students with opportunities for faith formation and the development of their spiritual lives by offering opportunities to participate in the Sacraments, attend retreats, and share in many other events where faith and fun come together in a fruitful way. All students participate in Masses and Prayer Services and the Sacrament of Reconciliation is made available to all students on a regular basis. All students, according to their grade level, participate in a class level retreat, and the Campus Ministry Team, Theology Department, Faculty, Alumni, and Peer Ministers work together to provide both the overnight and class level retreats.
ILS offers a Sacramental Preparation Program for students who have not received all their Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Communion and Confirmation). All students who are interested in preparing for the sacrament(s) are welcome to participate. This program involves 12 weekly meetings after school from 3:00-4:30pm beginning in January; meeting dates will be posted in December.

Students preparing for all the Sacraments of Initiation will celebrate Baptism, Communion, and Confirmation at the Easter Vigil Mass at St. Kieran’s Catholic Church. Students who have already been baptized and who prepare for Confirmation or Communion and Confirmation will receive their sacrament(s) in May 2026 (date TBA).
